Really cool item! We got it for our daughter for her birthday - she is a softball pitcher and plays all over the country so we got this for her to track. We also got softball push pins on Etsy. Note: I really wish it was bigger. The map portion especially is smaller than expected. NOT the seller’s fault, as she lists measurements. She is great to communicate with and designed it gladly with my feedback. Thank you!

My life as a designer and artist

Beginning with finger-painting in pre-school, art and design have always been a part of my life. Having a family who enjoyed and participated in art has encouraged me to be the designer I am today.

I like to designate color in my design according to the theme of the project. Color does not always define the design, but it can always add to the content. Colors tend to integrate themselves when I am working. Otherwise, It seems a little obvious if colors are forced and not natural. I prefer to start my designs with five – six sketches. It gives me the opportunity to place things accordingly and to organize the items mentally. After sketches, I start working on the computer, making three – four of my sketches into rough drafts. From there, I like to push each draft forward until I find the best solution.

Designing is an action anticipating a reaction from clients and customers. There are many forms of design that we are faced with everyday, but I am most intrigued by print design and packaging. My style has a modern approach, with a minimalist finish. I believe you can simplify the consumers’ world with the design you provide them. My goal in design is to communicate clearly and creatively.
